This scene was off on a dusty county road in the Texas Hill Country. It wasn't a very good year for viewing wildflowers as in previous years, but there had been enough rain so that many of the creeks and springs dotted throughout the region were flowing, which made up for the lack of flowers. The gentle warmth of the sun, sounds of trickling water and a nice composition was more than enough to make me stop and set up my pochade painting box and start painting.
